AAARRRGGHH.....

Sorry, but how hard can it be to buy a car at the minute?!?
I'm currently looking for a Triumph GT6 to enjoy. Ideally I don't want to be spending more than about £3000 so OK, I'm never going to get a top notch vehicle but there are usable examples at this price.
Thought I'd look on car and classic (not shaming them, perfectly good website) and emailed a couple of sellers with questions due to painfully brief adverts...
First guy seems to barely know anything and gives short, non-helpful responses and just plain avoids the idea of viewing the car.
Second guy doesn't respond but changes the details of the advert, price, some of its history etc...all seems very odd.
Its crazy, I thought people advertising their cars would actually want to reply to prospective buyers!
So, basically, does anyone have an idea of where else I can look? Ebay seems a little bare at the minute, as does the sports six owners club. I'd just like a reasonable, tax exempt example to consider.
Any help appreciated,
David.

I'd prefer not to venture above £4500 but ideally nearer £3000 as I say.

Talk to John Yarnell at http://www.jyclassic.co.uk if he doesn't have a car he will probably know of a car that you could get.

Ah OK, I did weigh up the 1971 blue GT6 on there but decided it was a bit much for my wallet, never thought about asking if he could source any others. Will have to give him a call when I get chance then.John is a top bloke.

he'll give you warts and all ownership details too not just sell you a dream and take your money - he'll also do inspections - I wished I'd meet him sooner John is a top bloke.
