Does anyone know about very old radios?
I've got this very old Motorola Eighty-Five and i'm trying to find out what its worth, can't seem to find anything on the 'net though, any ideas?

Thanks

The main unit with the two dash controls, the dial shows the tuning, one know is volume, the other the tuning, these are linked via a bowden type cable back to the main unit. The other little knob changes it between modes such as "country" or "city" and the other is some sort of eq type thing has the modes "bass", "vocal" and "music".

There are car radio specialists but in the main such old valve radios aren't worth much as far as I remember. There is a firm I believe in Lancashire that specialises and while keeping the original look transforms the inside to modern technology. This is, from the look of it, post war.

Excellent Bloke.

Did the radio in my Plymouth.
Serviced it all. Replaced all the valves.
Added an FM stage to it as well that autoselects when you switch it off and on quickly.
Also added an MP3 player input.

Are you looking to establish the value and sell it or have it restored/adapted with moderin internals for FM and use it? Rich...

I have no use for it as the car it was originally in (1938 Lammas Graham) was sold a couple of years ago.
I will probably just sell it on, or put it in the loft, to keep for later life.
