Ever build road going versions of the B8?
I ask as it's a car i would really desire to own one day and its bugging me that i seem to recall that they did some road going versions at some point that weren't converted from ex-racers but were road cars from new with maybe a pinto or something in the back of it?
Are my confused ramblings correct or completely deluded as it's something i recall but have never seen any further information on?
If correct then any information appreciated.
If deluded then please look at making it happen chevron and if possible for only a few more £'s than the Mk2 B1

I don't think Chevron made any road going B8s (sadly I sold my Chevron book a few years ago so I can't check). However, they did put their name to a road going B16 called the B16R in 1990 and in 1992 they also put their name to a road going version of the B8 which was actually made by a company called Scott Ellis Racing (who also made a GT40 replica apparently). None of this info. would have been possible without Chris Rees' 'British Specialist Cars' - a very useful book
I don't know how many of the road going B8s/B16s were made but I hope the above is useful.
