Fantastic. Is that the genuine article or a reproduction?

This is the one withdrawn two years back from the Retromobile sale I believe. They weren't sure if the history of the car was correct so had more research to do. Turned out they had two cars mixed up. Whatever, and despite the crunch, it is megabucks.

Oh God that's beautiful bow .

And not a high viz vest in sight anywhere. Where are the cones and the tape ? Why are the people so close the "dangerous thing" ? Where is the man with the decibel meter ? Why is no one wearing ear protection ? Why are there no police checking over the vehicles suitability for the road and it's tax and insurance ? Oh I see, they closed the road - how did that happen ?

Ah, of course, it's not in this God forsaken country idea and look at that weather cool

Got to get out of this country before I drown in my own cynicism biggrin

Really, isn't this the ex-eastern bloc Karassik car, which was (predominantly) made in Germany rather than Sussex?

I believe it was brought back as a chassis and rebuilt over here from photogaphs, fitted with a later replica engine and put up for sale, but still a tour de force of engineering ability.I would be happy to be wrong.Tempus smile

great photos of a stunning machine

did it do a lap of the old circuit or was it just a static display?
