Just a wee reminder about the annual Classic Car Show on Sunday at the beautiful National Museum of Rural Life in East Kilbride near Glasgow.

They have over three hundred cars booked in from all the major clubs and it looks to be a good day.

This is a link to their site and it is truly worth a visit.

I love this wee show i will be there although i can see trouble ahead as i here the

Mini clan who always give a great display of cars might not turn up

as they are not getting there usual space at the main entrance but are in the overflow car park

IT will be a shame

I will be there with my tr7

come up and say hi

I wonder if the wet stuff will stay off as it has been raining at this show for the last 2 years .

Stevie, why do you think there will be trouble?

So the Mini clan are throwing their toys out the pram because of where they are being placed? What a load of nonsense! No club or individual has the right to expect special treatment at any event.

This event has been fully booked - for the second year running. The girl who organises it works her arse off to accomodate everyone as well as she can and does a superb job, if people start behaving like that the event will end up either ruined or cancelled.

This is whats wrong with the classic fraternity, especially up here in Scotland, there are so many people with superior 'i'm better than you' attitudes ruining things! If you can't behave like an enthusiast and join in with others who share your hobby don't bother!

Rant over furious

Sorry i may have been a bit strong

I do not mean trouble as in the sense of arguments

all i meant was i hear that some of the clan were not happy as they were getting moved

from a great position to the overflow car park in one swoop

as for me I love this show as I fell there is no (I am better than you attitude)

also it is one of the few shows that as an exhibitors it is free and you even get a voucher for a cuppa

And i am aware that some people work there butt off to make this show happen

I just hope the weather it is a bit dryer than the last two years

P.S

Love your 1968 Jaguar will you be taking that on Sunday would love to see that up close

My point exactly stevie, its a great wee show and we don't want it spoilt by people acting like idiots because of something as trivial as where they are parked.

Unfortunately my Jaguar 420G isnt on the road yet, but i will be there in my recently finished midget;

Davy,

this lady you speak off is Marion, who is one of the most organised people I have come across. Entry to this show is FREE, so anyone that complains should be shot!!!

It is set in what has to be one of the best museums in Britain, and I would recommend the day out to anyone and everyone.

I used to do a bit of judging at the Jaguar days and believe me, the English shows can be just as bad for petty jealousies. Why the hell can't these people simply turn up and enjoy themselves.

My Merc :-

I'll look out for you Davy.

Can I firstly say my comment about the mini clan was just that a comment

The mini boys are a great bunch of car enthusiasts and will bend over backwards to help anyone

All I said was that after years of having a great display I had been told that they have been disappointed

At being told that they are to be put in the overflow car park as far as I know they have not complained

The last thing I want is someone snubbing a great club for something I have commented on

If I have been misunderstood I apologise

As said I will be there with no snobbery and by the look of my diagram at the back of the car park
