I have used scuffmaster to very good effect. Not sure how durable it would be for re-touching a steering wheel though, a re-trim might be for the best. But this would be worth trying first as it is pretty cheap. It is supplied in a small bottle with a fine sponge, you just dab it on in very small patches rapid fire, let it dry, and then re-coat a few times.

Wow! That's some difference there. Looks just like what I am after. In some ways I'd prefer to do the work myself (even if I am a bit cackhanded, I like to learn). Thanks BG and no hard feelings, I hope, from the other thread. There are none from me. Thanks a lot for your help and advice.
