If you find yourself at an loose end this Saturday 4/4/09, perhaps have an drive over to Ufford,Nr Woodbridge, Suffolk. See an selection of pre war Bentley (usually 6/7) and an host of other vintage cars at the annual meeting of 'Bentley Boys' being held at the White Lion pub. Parking of vintage cars is in the paddock next to the pub. The meeting is on all day with fine ale and food served from the White Horse. Nice people and great cars to get the season underway.

I understand the following day is an drive/short tour day.

I'm planing to give the 'Swallow' a trip out, you should spot me motoring along from 1000 yards as the engine needs an rebuild cry

Had a great hour or so wandering around on saturday, as usual some great cars there. A few more 'moderns' than last time I went ,but still a great turn out of pre war stuff, with a great variety..
I didn't see you around your Swallow David, I loitered a few times, but I didn't see anyone who looked like they were with it.
Saw a chap I know in his nice 30/98 tourer, complete with child seats in the back!

Here's a few pics......

Sorry I missed you Eccles, it was an great day with superb old cars to admire, did you see 'Big Al' with its 14 lt engine! I felt the ground shake from 50 yards away when he drove that in, amazing. Thanks for posting up some pic's, I did'nt have a camera on the day so I'm chuffed that you posted them for others here to see. One thing that is disapointing is the amount of moderns invading the day, maybe the 'Bentley Boys' will have to set an age limit on entry.

You couldn't exactly miss the La France staring up.....the ground shook!

I'm still suprised by how under the radar this get together is, quite few people who were there were very local, and had only just heard about it at the last moment.

Yes, sorry I should have used the correct name for the 14 lt monster, what an car, would'nt want to pick up the fuel bill though. The musical duo were an new addition this year and I thought they were really very good and the music 'struck the right note'.
My understanding is that they have an 'drive out' on the Sunday, not sure I could keep up in either of my old cars in such company though.

I really really want one of those. Slight problem though or should that be a large deficit!
