Saw this years ago when down in London. Never seen anything like it before or since, and it looked as though it was just being left to rot away...

I think it is this but with an added front spoiler

A kit car called a Nova that was originally based on a Vw beetle chassis.

ETA: Beaten to it.

Different front bumper shape, but the cabin gives it away as a Nova

Thanks for the responses!

Bit of a shame it wasting away like that, although they're not the best looking cars are they?!

Yes, I always thought they looked ridiculous with that ride height.

Totally spoiled what could have been quite an attractive shape, well, back in the Seventies anyway.

Which part(s) don't you like? Personally, I never liked the back end but think the rest is pretty.

I think the nova is a good looking car from the front. The back not so great but not horrible but at the end of the day how cool is the cabin entrance cool

LotusNova

Just looked at your profile and I think your vision of the Nova looks great. The Chassis and engine setup look awesome as well. smile

Perhaps its that valance on the one that i posted the photo of, and what look to be pop up headlights - not as sleek looking as those posted by other members

Agree there, sadly I think he's ruined one of the best views. I've never seen one with pop-up headlights that I think looked right either.

Interesting motor , it does kind of remind me of something from my childhood in the seventies though !

I don't think there's any doubt , he certainly could "mince" and had some very strange ways laugh

I think the Nova has stood up really well considering it's age, being totally whacky has helped.

There are some really nice ones out there now that have been restored, everyone individual.

Take a look at the gallery here and you'll also see a very individual take on it
