Just found this for sale advertised here,
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/941536.htm
How wrong could someone get it (especially for a Lotus dealership!!), or am I missing something?

Not an official dealer, I suspect! No sign of a Lotus logo anywhere.
'and the central locking headlamps pop up' - priceless.

I guess it's just poor punctuation. Translated: "Both windows work, and the central locking. Headlamps pop up." Speaking as the owner of a car with pop up lights, that's not always a given...

Yes, just poor grammar really, suppose we all do it. Whats the plural for Lotus? it sure isn't Lotus's. Sorry for sounding like a pedant biggrin

They call it a 1998 car, but it's in a 'G' plate. Private plate or have they given the wrong year? confused

Le TVR said "its not even a sodding europa!"

Just what I mean, even though there are only a few mistakes (could be explained by typo`s), they are pretty damn big ones!
If it was a europa and correct date, then wrong picture and price.
If it was a europa (earlier type) then wrong date, price and pic.
If it was an excel then wrong date and title
.............you get the picture.

They say they are a Lotus dealership!

Something wery, wery scwewy going on awound here!

I believe just plain 'Lotus' is correct...as in 'Sheep'.

Consider the origin of the name. The Lotus plant ?

Geeky question:

What's the third cable going to the throttle linkage in the pic?

It's an automatic, so they will probably be (left to right) Kickdown, Throttle and Cruise Control. You can barely see the choke cable in that photo.

Paul.
