Jeeps are like aholes on there. Everyone has one.
Shouldn't be a problem to find one in whatever condition you want.

Already looked there, prices are not that keen to me.
If you don't ask you don't get, that's why I poped it on here.
The days of someone having a MB or GPW and NOT knowing how much it's worth (even one in poor condition) are long gone.If you don't ask you don't get, that's why I poped it on here.
Even post-war French Hotchkiss Jeeps are now fetching 'silly' money, let alone a Willy MB or Ford GPW.
If the prices your seeing are not 'keen' to you I suggest you stop looking for one.....
Fair enough.
Right about cash in the bank being a waste of time at the moment - only problem is asset prices are being pushed up (Sterling value) by overseas buyers coming in and making use of the crappy exchange rate.
If you think of all those M201's that came into the UK having been bought from French government auctions a few years ago - to do the same today would see £ prices 30% or more higher

Have seen a few M201's at over 12K, shock and horror.
Still would like to find an almost new one though but not as much as a scriped Ford or Willys.
Go on take a look in your barn's.
My business is tyres and we are getting lots of buyers from over the water as they can save almost 25%, good for them and me.

Its not uncommon for some people to pass off a Hotchkiss as a genuine MB/GPW.
Here is my genuine scripted Ford GPW...
Underwent a nut and bolt restoration 20 years ago.I was offered more than double the top price mentioned earlier in the thread by an American collector seven years ago.

Very, very nice Jeep, fill me in with the details then, don't keep it a secret.
I have now purchesed a scriped Willys which I am over the moon with, next is your Scriped Ford, HA, HA.
Andy.
The Jeep was bought for me and my brother back in 76,when we were kids.In 87 when i passed my test i drove it for a year, before making the decision to have it restored. It was a hard job getting respected Jeep enthusiast Tony Sudds to undertake the work.It was a three year restoration, with any part unservicable replaced with genuine boxed parts.A Ford Jeep to restore is a dearer proposition than a Willys,as every Ford part was stamped with the Ford "F" logo.Even the seals and bearings inside the engine and transmission were stamped. The dealers know this and charge accordingly.Even now some 20 years after the restoration was undertaken. It still looks like it just rolled off the production line.Tony Sudds went on to do two other three other restorations. Two for American collectors, and one for Kevin Wheatcroft,of the Wheatcroft collection at Donnington circuit.I was offered £30,000 for it 7 years ago by a well known American collector.I have now purchesed a scriped Willys which I am over the moon with, next is your Scriped Ford, HA, HA.

Very good, I know Tony quite well, we used to trial in the AWDC and I remember when he did some racing with a Jeeo special fitted with a 1.8TC Morris Marina engine, spoke with him only the other week, he knows what I am looking for and is keeping his Peep's open, if you know what I mean.
What part of the country are you in ?
