Any one seen this currently on ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lotus-Lamborghini-Countach-P...

This person had a renault gta for sale also but that went a few weeks ago. I drive past this house loads and have always contemplated making an offer for the gta and/or the kit, but never fancied the investment (or rather can't currently afford the £ or time), plus the renault was rather sheddish looking (sorry if the owner reads this, not wanting to offend) and the project was rather, 'unfinished'.
Its interesting to see what is actually there because from driving past I could never quite make it out. All I could tell was that is was some kind of project involving a countache (replica?) shell.

I am wondering how it would work. I would be very interested to see the finished product, although I'm sure if anyone from here bought it they would keep us posted.

It seems a fair idea combining Lotus handling, cossy or rover V8 reliability and robustness with Lambo good looks.

Looks like the garage from Scrapheap Challenge.

All looks fit for the skip.

I think that considering the whole lot has been sat under the stars for the past few years and had an 'interesting' attempt at covering (shredded tarpaulin held down with bricks, covering the lot by random amounts, weather dependent), £2k is a bit much. I wouldn't want to presume how rotted the leather, or everything else for that matter, is, but it can't be pleasant.

Although if the mechanicals and important metal work are all good, would probably be a good buy.

Good luck to the buyer is all I can say!

That is a scary project. How much time do you have and how badly does disappointment have to get before you start to cry?
All the dials are moldy, has it been "stored" in a swamp (just on the driveway for to long)

"I do not how many miles the engine has done. Excellent Condition!" lol

maybe if it was stripped and boxed ready for posting as parts it might reach £2000

You would have to be mad to bid on that at that price

Yeah! When I was toying with the idea of making an offer, I was thinking more along the lines of £500 for both (the gta and the "project"!

£2000! :-()
