Just bought a rolling restoration project...

1973 MGB Roadster. Chrome Bumpers (Must be a really late one) and dash mounted over-drive.
Bad news is that it's teal blue with Ochre vinyl interior
I've had a quote for bare metal (It's got some bad micro blisters and 'crinkles') respray, which includes all shuts and engine bay, and I know I can get the interior colour changed simply enough.
Main thing is, she has a good strong engine with good pressures and temps, everything works how it should and the hood is new. Also, aside from some surface rust and needing new door skins (£25 a go!) she's really straight and solid.
Just drove her 80 miles on a jolly to see the bodywork man, and she didn't miss a beat. Put down a deposit as soon as I got back!
I'll edit and add some pictures when I get back this eve or tomorrow morning!
£3,000!
Opinions on colours? I can do anything I like. Gunmetal with red leather is top of my thoughts at the moment, but I'm open to ideas if anyone has any.
I'll be bringing her to some meets this year, and I reckon she'll be good for le mans (I got a free bootrack!)

See if you can catch any episodes on Sky or buy the DVD of 'An MG is Born' with Mark Evans. He re-trimmed his in this scheme and it looked great. That's where I got the idea, although I'm sure he went for aston martin silver?
