I used to think this was cool when I bought it in 1980. Plush velour, comfortable and plenty of room for four and the luggage. I checked it out on the DVLA site and it still exists but is now white!
I think my photos of my 16 valve Mk III and also my Mk 1 Golf S are in the UK though.

Well it's a damn site cooler than the cars parked either side.
I used to do a whole load of work in France with a couple of mates. One night we were discussing the possibility of buying a car to keep locally instead of keep hiring them. "Boss" man was thinking in terms of a Chelsea Tractor or a Beamer, he rapidly dropped the idea when the other two of us both suggested one of the old corrugated iron Citroen vans would be cool. Wasn't there a smaller one than the "H" series ones, I seem to remember seeing some that looked like they might have been based on the 2CV.
