To be or not to be......

I refer you to the "replica, recreation or fake" thread. Not a replica, not a fake, but surely a recreation. Personally, having several friends who owned them and thought they were dreadful, I'd pass. After all, for me this is a 1970's car recreated because MG had no money to make a real new car and it was a tongue in cheek way of making easy money. C'mon, a car produced that late with such antiquated suspension? Even a Morgan or TVR handled better!

I think recreation is a good call, it really does feel like a classic in every sense - a marmite car perhaps? I remember driving one back to back with a Chimera when they first came out, all the road tests at the time pitted them against each other & tbh, the TVR was soooo much better in almost all areas you just couldn't compare them. However, I've always wanted a TR6 but love V8's and this is the perfect car for me, you get the feel of a classic with a V8 soundtrack and better reliability, I've been using mine everyday for 4 months and 4000 miles with no probs, touch wood and every drive is fun!
