Any one seen the one on E Bay ? looks like it could be good fun for the summer, and I was also wondering what classes it could complete in ? as I fancy a season of racing.

I used to race an Austin 7 Super Accessories with the 750 Motor Club. They still race them in the 750 Formula class I think. Brilliant fun, although it was almost as much fun pootling around in it on the road. Do you have a link to the ebay ad?

Picture of it here:

Austin 7 Super Accessories

I would have thought you would be better off getting a "proper" Austin 7 and then you could use it in a lot more events, (historic stuff, VSCC etc.)

I'll vouch for Austin 7s being fun on the road though, (I have a great Ulster rep.)

Sorry, slightly off topic, but are you the fella who was in Classic and Sportscar (I think!), who used an Austin 7 as a wedding car?

Yup, and it was our wedding present form my dad.

Thought I recognised the car from your profile- was reading the mag last night!

I'd love to do something similar (eventually!). We've got a 20's bike and sidecar that my Dad bought just before I was born. It's kinda part of the family. Be a bit worried about the total loss oiling though!

Sorry for the thread hijack, but I did the same- my dad has had his Seven since his early teens, and I drove to my wedding in it. We had to have a "full sized" car to leave the ceremony in, as the wife & dress wouldnt fit in!

I thought it was you in C and SC.

Well done chap, we tied the knot on 19th Sept and spent our wedding weekend at the revival.

Just a few weeks ago I went to a Farm to collect a spare E93A axle. This guy had 2 'Super 2's' in the Barn, one in a complete rusty pile, the other looked saveable. It appeared to have had a race history and had some period Aquaplane engine mods. Not for sale though.
