No one seems to have posted so here are a few of my many.

Eclectic choice, but hope you like them.

Excellent stuff biggrin

I was sooooo born into the wrong era, I would have loved to have grown up driving those cars!

I don't think they allow replicas, I know that not all the D-Types that wanted to play got invited.

Er - the registration number of the car is XKD 545 J. That should give you a clue! (hint - I mentioned this car in another thread). It seems we were at Woodcote together - I was in a green jacket with the Nikon D3 and 200/400 lens on a monopod. As regards getting an invite to race, Shaun Lynn was there with his GT40 but didn't get an invite for his Lister Knobbly this year. Next year he'll be racing the lightweight 4 WPD when it's straightened - assuming they've finished building my car in time that is - after Dario Franchitti stuffed it at Fordwater a couple of years back. Even money can't necessarily get you to race at Goodwood!

Show-off wink
actually I'm jealous cool

I hear that next year in order to preserve the period atmosphere, all cameras will have to be pre.'66 or digital recreations of film cameras of the period !!!!! and all images that show L*xus ads will have to be re-touched idea

As I've just written in my next article, love Goodwood as I do I shan't be there next year since I'm getting a trifle blasé about the whole thing. I'm having a change and going back to Angouleme since I've just realised it's 16 years since my last visit. Saves me being ripped off by the dearest ferry companies in the world anyway.

Just been told that first screening will be ITV 4, Sunday 12th, 18:00-19:00
A repeat on Wednesday 16th (same Bat-time, same Bat-channel)

Doesn't appear on ITV 1 next week, but perhaps the week after.

Believe me the D Type is real, I had the pleasure of working on this car until my enforced retirement, it is the real deal, nunber plate or no number plate.

Apologies if I misled you here. The plate is a J plate because the car was exported to the USA new and was never previously registered in the UK so when reimported it got not a period plate but the current plate as a "new" car, but the plate is highly specific - this is XKD 545 which means the 45th D type and that it was built in 1955. Hence some start with 4 (1954) and 6 (1956) Simple ain't it!

+1 beer Those are terrific pictures. Not easy getting such consistent good quality plus the whole subject, in the frame, in focus, unblurred. Thanks for a sterling effort. Maybe not the most elegant but that Corsair is maybe the most impressive.

I've been to the Festival of Speed - the Classic Revival looks a lot more fun.
