Strangely I was two miles away when I got the call from the UK and in my E type too! Changed the coil but that made it worse so it was either timing or points and I was on my way to a physio appointment so I pointed them in the direction of a garage. The E type they were driving, a Henry Pearman Eagle modified one, was beautiful but for me not £95,000 beautiful. My old car runs perfectly (2,500 miles in the last month) which is more than can be said for theirs! Oh, and as regards my sartorial elegance and state of hirsuteness, I reckon 30 years driving open topped cars might have something to do with it! They do say that grass doesn't grow on a busy street.

I spotted you too Tony, in the E Type heading out of Winchester heading towards Cheriton (A272) last Monday afternoon. I waved and flashed but it was very last minute! (I was in my Silver Astravan. same as last time.)

I also, on the same day, saw E Type reg no. 9600 HP (E Type Number 1) heading north on the M3.

It was down at XK60 at Goodwood and then I guess Cowdrary (SP!) Park for the weekend of 8th/9th/10th.
The owner was organising the first two days.

Harry Potter is sooo passé. He is now nicknamed Shylock Holmes don't you know. It is his car anyway.
