My Yesterday's Hero!

Well done
DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON IT UNTIL YOU'VE HAD IT AT LEAST 9 MONTHS (other than FULL servicing and maintainance)
No upgrades or mods - get used to a '70s car (if it's in good condition other than changing the headlights it should be more than adequate subject to a good battery then later get an electronic igniter to save hassle)

Thanks I was just initially going to sort a little surface rust, get a full service done when I have my MOT (in September), fit another MG Stainless steel sill cover, passenger side one is missing and keep it in nice condition! Mods will come a lot later, the fun has already started as it's a great car to drive stock!

I'll second the leave well alone until after the MOT and service, if you get any advisories, that's your starting point.
Cracking car.
Last point, if you haven't already, look at breakdown cover, something will go and it will let you down.
Thanks for the advice have breakdown with my insurance through MGOC.Cracking car.

Looks rather nifty.Would normally suggest putting a set of minilite alloys on, but even the wheels look tidy. Interior as good as exterior?

Thankyou, well I'm still loving it and that is good in my world as cars don't tend to last long!
Really love my little Midgie though so (as I always say but no one believes) this one is a stayer
Can't believe I picked this car up a month ago just over now! It feels like a new occassion everyday I drive it, love the higher maintainance that is required, love the way it drives, the noise it makes, it really is a little gem
