Painting underneath.
Discussion
I'm about to start painting the bulkhead/frames and underneath the E type.
I reckon on wire brush back to bare metal with a twisted cup bruch in a grinder.
2 coats Galvafroid - brush
2 coats red oxide - brush
2 coats Schultz - spray
Top coat, not sure if two pack, water based, lacquer or not - spray
Any comments or suggestions?

I've always favoured 2 coats something like Finnegan's No 1 over bare metal followed by 'Stone Chip protect' through a Shutz gun but thinned slightly.
IMHO that's preferable to Shutz which stays soft and can cause the top coat to crack. The thinners tends to give a less textured finish and can even be wet flatted even smoother for high viz areas.
Not sure about top coat. Would have said cellulose without lacquer but it's in short supply now and I haven't come to terms with water based stuff.
Maybe an acrylic?
