Oulton Park MGCC - Classic Racing

I went to Oulton today to watch the MGCC, but primarily to see PHer Jellison racing his TR6.

Wondering around the paddock, there was some right tasty machinery...






Then the racing started:




The V8 MGBs were bloody rapid!

Then the fun started and Jellison got stuck in to the pack!




He did well hustling the TR and hassling the Morgans...



There were actually quite a lot of cars on track, but mainly TRs and Morgans...which i'm not complaining about!



I know the pics aren't the best but I thought it would be nice to see.

Ha Tom, thanks for coming - the Race was MEGA - one of the best / most enjoyed in years - pity it was stopped early - nasty accident - one of the TR6's is close to a write off and the 5 is banged up (he spun and the other one had no where to do).

3 race for the Thoroughbreds this year and we have not had a race go the full distance.

My camera is knackers only got 2.3 laps!

But Mike and me did take it to the Big Mogs - it does not come much closer than the front 5 or 6 cars in that one.

The next one is the BIG ONE for us at the MG 15.06.08 Silverstone International meeting MGCC - a HUGE Event. Guessing but should be 20 - 30k people there.

Car will be quicker there - having some special mods in 10 days or so.

After an all Triumph race next Monday at Mallory.

It was a cracking race to watch, just wish it could have been longer!

It was nice to meet you and I'm well looking forward to the next big meet.

Fantastic - Silverstone International MGCC will be Mega - Will be a 43+ Car Grid!!

• * Bentley Driver Silverstone is Great too - Great Atmosphere and Full of Bentley (there races are literally like the wacky races - some of the cars are Nuts).

Have to get the Bloody Camera fixed - Pity about the race not going full distance - not sure that TR6 will get fixed.

Hopefully I'll be able to make it along to a race or two this year, bloody walking and job has been getting in the way so far!
