Stumbled upon this today and thought it a wonderfully well written and involving storey. My admiration for the GT6 (admittedly heavily modified) has just stepped up another notch.

My Dad had one just like that Mk1 and it was always breaking halfshafts and having diff problems.
That seems to be the weakest link on em and rust rust rust.
Lovely when it worked though we used to go out for the day mum & dad and me and my sister crammed in the back as little kids.
I blame that car for my addiction.

always loved the look of the GT6's, very purposeful looking machines IMO, but yeap, they certainly had their fair share of problems!
