Just been for my first extensive drive with my new pride and joy. Nothing that special. Morris Minor 1000 - but oh the smile it has put on my face.

Never has driving a car been such fun. I can see many very happy hours of fun ahead with this car. I am already very pleased I bought Milly.

She's very special! Glad you're enjoying her, she's beautiful.

Must be a popular name, i'm following a blog regarding the sale of a 1961 Morris Minor called 'Millie' locally at the moment. Has made me cry! She's found a happy home where someone is restoring her. Your Milly looks gorgeous.

Milly looks very tidy, and I hope you two have many happy future adventures. I also hope she stays in that (what appears to be great) condition!

That was the first thing that caught my eye, and I had to look closer to check that it wasn't laugh

Nice little moggie thumbup

I've had a go in a couple, they are awesome fun and girlies love them to bits... although I have a feeling that probably wasn't the motivation behind this particular purchasewink

No, its a BMW Silver which is a real shame as I think it ruins the car to a degree. Long term I would like to do a ground up restoration on her and return her to a standard factory colour. I would take her back to her original colour which is solid Dove Grey but I hate that colour. Was thinking more of Old Englilsh White as she has a red interior.

I think it looks stunning in silver and I am not usually a fan. I think it would be a pity to change it as it gives a unique look in a good way imho.

I agree. Many years ago I had a '69 Traveller in Trafalgar Blue. I wanted to change it to a metallic dark blue to make the car unique.

This one looks a beauty in silver, I wouldn't change it - tell yourself it's what Morris would have done if it had continued in production a year or two longer.
