Anyone here able to steer me to an supplier of the steamed hood frame sticks, I know that vintage car parts do them but I am looking for other suppliers.

Cant help but if you wanted to do it yourself I have some oak battens that might be useful, no ash though.

(I've a wood boat hobby as well as cars and I have a stash of oak, mahogany and teak)

If you wanted a book to tell you how to steam (its dead easy, although many people laminate now) look for John Scarlett's work on boat repair.

Thank you for kind offer Ben, but I am going to entrust the job to a pro'.This is because the radius of bends have to be very accurate and identical otherwise the shape of the rear of my hood will be ruined. Its for my 1925 vintage car.

You should try one of the east coast boat yards. Both Webbs and Kings at Pinmill are good, Gus King is a genius with wood.
