Like your profile page Josh and most in your fantasy garage.

You'd need to have been a PH through the 70's to know what my car was if you ever saw it.

Very few people know what model my car is let alone the make when they first see it.

Most seem to only know of the Pantera and possibly the Magusta.

Oh no, I really do like the Longchamp, although reminds me of the Maserati Kylami quite alot. Which is no bad thing wink I spent far too much of my early pre-school days reading books about obscure classic cars.

Very good.

Noted in the Top Gear video DT cars cost a fraction to maintain compared to the other Italian exotics.

Yes, the Kyalami was I believe produced at the time when DT owned Maserati.

There was never a wide arched GTS/GTSE version of the Masa as there was with the Longchamp.

The later quad lamp conversion (taken from the Audi Ur Quattro parts bin) was also only ever offered on the late 80's longchamps.

Engine note is also noticeably different with the DT's prehistoric single cam OHV design.

I like it.

Blimey Phil I never knew the Dee Tee had ever made it onto Top Gear, you learn something everyday.

Are you heading down to Goodwood next Saturday for the Saywell / DTDC day? If so I will see you there

0-100 in 13 secs: great! Pantera's are the bizz, talking of which comes to mind:

The DT is a budget Bizza really . . . or do I say something completely inappropriate?

How's the engine Phil? Spring is in the air, we had our last minus zero so it's almost time to get her eat some tarmac right?

This makes sense:

Hi Robert,

It's forcasting rain both Sat & Sun and I've really got to fit my interior heater unit back in if for no other reason than to have windscreen demist capabilities! Also, the interior looks a mess with the gearbox tunnel and heater controls out of the car.
If the weathers bad I won't be working on the car. Will you still be going?
If so, then I'll drive down in the hack.

Al,

Engine not coming together as quick as I'd of liked. cam, roller lifters and new ali DT rocker covers arrived from the US.

CHI heads are staying in the US for Dan Jones' dyno shootout. I believe David Vizard will be there watching the preceeedings. 4 days of dynoing Ford cleveland engine options.

Yes, I've seen photo's of another BMW V8 powered Pantera.

No need to shave a few kilo's with an engine swap.

One of Roberts DT's has the BMW V8 with I believe a CF body.

Phil, I probably didn’t make myself clear but the Goodwood track day is next weekend not this one, actually I am over in Essen for the next few days anyway at the Techno Classica.

None the less I will be minus a Dee Tee as I am going to take the CSL along as it will have several guineas of track day addenda attached to it but it should be up to Saywell chasing, one wonders what he’ll bring along this time?

Still the Guara will be staying after having had a minor go at selling her, how could I? She needs a loving home and one that will understand her…………………….

Have a good time over there in Germany.

If Alpina have any Tourers there can you take a few photo's?

Where did you put the Guara up for sale?

OK on Goodwood date. I did not have the newsletter to hand so did not pickup on the incorrect date.

I've had two people approach me to purchase my Longchamp, one the former owner and both at much more than what I paid.

Longer term I'd like a later car, GT5S, Si or the Guara but without the tinitus injection.

Grrrrr indeed.

I want more of that deep throat rumble with the new engine. I'm also going to change my exhaust system to single Magnaflows each side instead of two generic boxes per side.

Those loud colours do seem to suit the Pantera (blue & orange).
