I'm off to Race Retro this weekend with Tygan. I've never been to the show before but have high expectations - the show seems to have really come on in the last couple of years. Can't wait to see the Group B rally cars on display, in particular. Anybody who fancies a coffee and a chat is welcome to make themselves known.
I went to the first one and was sorely disappointed.
Yes , the cars were nice, but there were no 'show special' prices, and if anything the prices seemed to have been put up!
I went with cash in my wallet ready to buy a full set of racing clobber (helmet, suit , gloves, boots underwear), but the prices on the day seemed very dear, and this was confirmed when i got back and checked on various websites that the shop price would have been cheaper!
It also seems quite expensive to get in, £30 on the day,£25 in advance (if you include the parking). quite a few people i've spoken to have been put off by the price.
