Going to look at a Minor Tourer tomorrow

and I can't wait.. Must keep the excitement under control.

Been looking for some months now for the ideal car. I wanted a Tourer over a saloon, but not fussed if it was a conversion so long as it had been done correctly. Ideal colours were White with Red roof or Dark blue with Cream roof but it has to be the 1098cc engine. Again as original as possible bar a few updates like seat belts, brake etc to make it better for today's roads.

This car is a genuine Tourer, checked the car on Experian already, is the White/Red colour options and has also got seatbelts already fitted. It is about an hours drive from me and if I like it will have it properly checked by Classic Assessments to make sure the parts I cannot see are okay.

Now just got to concentrate on work for the rest of today....

Well, best of luck! I guess you know the scuttle shakes a bit but they are a lovely car to waft around in in summer. It might have the disc brake upgrade which would be no bad thing either (thereby speaks a man who is building a drum brake car - doh!) and you might check that it hasn't had the 1275cc upgrade if the brakes have been done. Many have. Check the hood fit when up too - you'll soon see if it is a good fit all round and thus has been correctly redone at some time. The heater matrix might be silted up so warm the car up and see if there is hot air blowing with the flap open. I reckon that if the previous owner has had the car some years though he'll have a file on the car showing all expenditure - I've four ring binders full here over 25 years on one of my cars. Once again, fingers crossed!
