I saw this on holiday a few years back, but forgot to do a thread on it. What car is behind the Citreon C3 and the Saab 9-3 convertible?

Thanks

Big Chris

They sum up everything that is wrong about what is called a "classic car" by some people.

Should be used to back fill old quarries if you ask me...

looks like a Saab convertible and a Citroen C3 parked next to a big pile of festering turd.

Didn't Liberace have one of those complete with candelabras on the front wings?

You'll be horrified to know that it was just one of many 'neo-classics' - a response in late-'70s America to the boom in '30s art-deco car prices, by rebodying wallowing yank tanks.

Get the sick bucket ready and rubberneck at some of these:

The Zimmer Golden Spirit:

The Baci Roadster:

The Tiffany Classic:

The Luxxor:

The Blackstone Custom:

The Phillips Berlina:

The Archer Roadster:

The Clenet Phaeton:

The Diamante Roadster:

The Gatsby:

The Johnson Phantom:

The Sunrise Classic:

What I find amazing is that there are clearly people out there who think these cars are the tasteful height of luxury.

Sadly if you look at the Archer Roadster you'll see that a Fiat 124 Spider has been butchered in order to make the rear bodywork.
