Can anyone tell me where this badge is from?

This cropped up in a box of old coins from my parents attic.

My Dad had obtained it years ago, possibly from the family engineering works somehow.

Anyhow, it's a brass badge about 2inch across.

Berleit were a French car/van manufacturer who got absorbed by Citroen in the 1960s, but that's all i've been able to find out.

I had a mooch around that and one or two other similar sites, but couldn't spot it on anything.

The train became their emblem in 1909 and "Marque Déposée" means registered trade mark. Company bought by Renault in 1978. Most likely the badge is from one of the buses or lorries they used to make.

The badges went kinda Deco in the 1920s, so it looks fairly early.
