Living in France but having an address in the UK I have until now kept up my RAC membership through the Jaguar club but it has of late got very dear - nearly £300 a year. Imagine my surprise when my insurers (done through Lockton's brokerage) offered to cover all of my cars for the sum of £45 per annum! No matter who you are with it is worth enquiring if they do the same. They know too that the cars live over here for most of the year and aren't in the slightest worried about it. Just a thought. This not one off but a full 12 months cover too.

Interesting to know! I used to live in Germany and had ADAC european cover. When I came back to the UK I kept it going - roughly £75 a year for full Euro cover, and its the person covered not the vehicle, so makes no difference if I'm in the old mini, on the motorbike, or on summer holiday towing the caravan with the newer car.
www.adac.de - worth a look?
