You got one Dan well done thumbup

As with any s/h car especially a classic don't spend any money on "improvement" until you've had it for six months save you money for a full and proper service then maintenance and repair

Why not put a picture up here and on Readers Cars

Cheers, i'm lucky to get this one eally, it's mechanically good considering it'sbeen standing for 20 years, it RUNS AND DRIVES! Tends to wheelspin too rolleyeswhistle

I paid £250 the car, which if i say so, is a steal for such a classic.

Needs a new door, that's it really, just needs some filler in places.

And i've a fair bit of dosh tucked away! more thaa enough!
Don't know which wheels i want yt.

Top choicethumbup
Had a dozen or so over the years including Stilleto's, Chamois & Sport.
Great little cars & an absolute jewel of an engine. Hope you enjoy it.

A real period vehicle, vinyl roof and purple paint, we had a Cortina MK3 2000E in that combination and those wing mirrors, they where almost retro in '72/'73

My knowledge on Imps is somewhat impish, but apparently you can weld a pair of Imp engines together to form a V8! You know what to do!

On the contrary he's got the opposite lock on and he's looking at the Alfa 105 - he'll have him by the next bend laugh

When I rebuilt my Clan from a rolling shell I found Ebay priceless for Imp bits - the rest of the stuff I needed was all pocket money stuff - Malcolm Anderson will become your best friend ! (he's even got new doors !!) The secret to Imp fun is getting the engine right, then keeping it cool .......

i'm in a similar position, i've just bought a Ginetta G15, so now i've got to learn all about imp engines and rear suspension....which is a bit daunting after 20 years of tinkering with minis!
luckily though mines got an MOT but has been standing for a while, so i expect it'll need a fair bit of fettling over the winter.

I'm pretty sure I actually have 2sets of doors, & I'm equally sure both sets have dentsfrown
I don't have a disc conversion - in my day one modified Viva discs, but I'm reliably informed there's a conversion around Micra hubs/discs now.
But to be honest the std brakes, when set up & adjusted properly, are perfectly fine (just leave an extra car's length between you & the one in frontthumbup).
