Not a Fast Ford Fan, but you got to admire this......

Just how many 25yr Old unrestored XR3i's can there be left? More so one with such pedigree and low miles (72k)... A great piece of 80's Retro

Its a classic.. but its not for me. If i saw one on the road I would think 'hmm thats rare to see one so clean', but it wouldnt go beyond that smile

So many of the popular hot hatch style cars of the early 80s had already been outclassed by less well known stuff and somehow become glorified even though they were really quite middle of the range. I guess when youre after a car that wasnt really that good in its day then youre paying for the memories. Or youre just desperately drawn to something in the styling smile

There's something about this Escort that makes it . . . dreadfull . . . Sorry.

Rally kits are nice though.

Looks like no end of other boxy boring saloon cars on the road.

Imagine being a motoring magazine scribe and having to do a 'mega test' of the top 12 boring family saloons under 1.6 litres. A job to die for, literally.....hehe

Not me. My memories of driving them when new border between non-discript and poor. Maybe I just drove bad ones (6 or 7 of them...)

I always liked the RS1600i better then the XR3i, don't know why though, I think the wheels looked better.
