I need some new foglight lenses for the back of my Bitter. They're Bosch parts, with a number moulded into them, but it is not a current Bosch part number. I suspect they're common to a number of eighties cars, but I don't know which ones. Does anyone know a good supplier of Bosch parts that might know the old stock codes?

Thanks!
It's moulded KL0227A, various other numbers too but that one looks most like a part number instead of a standards reference. It also has "Rückwärtige Lichtsscheibenebene senkrecht zur Fahrtrichtung" written along the top. It's 9cm x 7.5cm.
I need a pair if rummaging successful

Ta for pic i will check numbers tomorrow but being senile is it the centre section of the lamp?if it is and the white and yellow bits are also held on with two screws each i think it may be a Lancia Monte Carlo find a pic of one and check it out,cos im idle and it will save me rumaging.Tempus

Ah, the rear light clusters are indeed Lancia Monte Carlo, but the foglights are separate and mounted in the bumper. Here's a pic of a slightly shinier car than mine with the fogs showing - not all Bitters have them (although I'd never actually noticed that until I had to search the net looking for a photo showing the foglights!)I just put a much better close-up photo of the lens in my post above too. They do work at the moment, but they're not very pretty and both cracked and faded, so new ones would smarten up the rear nicely.

"Backwards facing light lens plane perpendicular to driving direction" honest.
Don't mess around with these thingies

And something to cheer you up when feeling blue:
In case you're wondering, yes you do get used to the red. It's red inside the glovebox and armrest cubby too, and has red sunvisors just to make sure you don't forget the fact it's red when you look up! This is one of 29 coupés built with RHD. There's probably fewer than 20 still on the road today. Less than 500 were built in all, including 20-odd cabriolets and a handful of saloons.
Hi,the day did not go as planned so im only just starting to get up to speed, the number is too short for a bosch code so it may only have been available as a comp. lamp,in which case there should be another number on the other half,i suspect that it was also available as a reverse lamp with a clear lens, given Bitters ties to fiat(lancia)and general motors(opel)i will start there and let you know if i have any succes.Tempus

Fantastic! Off to MB then it is PistonHeads is wonderful sometimes isn't it? Less than 24hours to find a foglight used on some examples (but not all) of an obscure European coupé that even most dedicated petrolheads haven't heard of! Thank you.

lovely Bitter BTW!
Well, managed to get them from my local factor in Swindon. Just over a tenner each in the end, and about two minutes to fit
which is an improvement over:
And yes, I do know the rest of the car needs washing
I was at the Bristol Owners' Club concours at the weekend and found that they're also used on most Bristols from the mid 70s onwards. Mirrors are shared with the Bitter too, clearly both small manufacturers looking for generic bits for minor parts.
Thanks all
