Hello All,

I am trying to find any experts in Chenard et Walcker, and in particular related to the 3.0 litre sport or Torpedo.

Any clues? Does anyone have any experience of checking/tracking the history of a car through the ACO, or Musee Automobile de la Sarthe?

Cheers!

Phil.

here must be an owners club in France, or perhaps there's even one in the UK, they may well have info on chassis numbers etc.
another good place to 'network' and pick up leads is the annual retromobile show in paris, i know my dad got parts and info there for his Hotchkiss.

You'll find the details of the C&W club here:-

What exactly are you trying to find out? I shall be at the museum next week to collect one of my cars I lent them.

Perhaps he's found one of the Bentley beating team cars?

Hi Gents,

It seems that I have a large chunk of one that has been found in a house that belongs to my in-laws. I am trying to arrange a visit to pick it up, assess damage, take photo's etc.

It's claimed to have some Le Mans history but I'm a bit sceptical about that.

I'll let you know more, but I would like to know of markings/numbers/other identifying information that I should look for.

Cheers!

Phil.

Dear Chenardist,
I have been running a 3litre overhead camshaft car for 20years now and know a little bit about them. I have a small list of engine numbers of cars that I am aware of and this may be of help in dating yours. I am a member of the club in France that is concerned with Chenards in general. If I can be of help let me know
Tim Hallam.

If the OP is about still and still needs help, please contact the secretary at the Veteran Car Club of GB.
The club library at Ashwell will I am sure have the history and books you require.
