Looks like Donald Day in the ERA.

We did this a few years ago - a good weekend.
Although my magneto was playing up.

Do you have pictures of the "hill" climbs?

Unfortunately I didn't make the hill climbs on Saturday / Sunday. They're usually a lot of fun though (with a bit of downhill thrown in for good measure)

That is Donald Day in ERA R14B which iirc he's owned since the early 60s. However, that's not Donald - possibly Tony Stephens- in the full face helmet leaving the line.

In my opinion the ERA represents everything that's great about a racing car - it looks right, it sounds glorious, it smells amazzing and it goes like stink.

Lervley Cars. How does this work though thought the limit was 40?

The roads are closed for the 3 events, they are run like proper Hill Climbs on the main land. The only difference is the big white bales on the side of a public road, rather than a private drive like Prescott or Shelsley. The other club has a classic event in August that closes other roads on the island - including Bouley Bay I hear.

I've been twice - once with a friend who hit a bale on the Sunday, and the following year I entered, but had magneto trouble.

Only these two, taken from where I was standing at that time...

Is it you in the car? Or, having seen your profile, someone you know?
