a VW Karmann Ghia!



saw a similar convertible version in a very fetching shade of orange earlier today!
got a few Q's, were these based on Beetle mechanicals? and has anyone here own/owned one before?
i must say i rather liked it!

Yep, basically a Beetle with a ball gown on - sadly they had Beetle engines, so performance didn't match the very fetching looks. Very tin-worm prone too - but VERY pretty IMHO

i aggree i thought it was cracking looking little car! the orange paintwork looked rather fetching too!
i really like this one,

that Porsche engined one is mental! nuts

eek Quick enough that I nearly got run down by one in the mean back steets of Kensington & Chelsea yesterday yikes
