Have you talked to Pat Thomas at Kelvdon (spelling?)Motors in Spalding ? I delive (may be wrong) that the 2 companys are/were linked at some time. Hes a guru on twin cam lotus engined cars.

Also try talking to Caterham. They offered the belt-drive Vegantune Lotus Twincam derivative as a standard engine option for a while when supplies of the original Lotus engine dried up, IIRC.

I was under the impression that the 16 valve version was a very rare fish indeed (like only one or two heads produced?), but I could be wrong...

I have just bourt what i belive to be the last complete 16 valve lotus head this is the 1600 16 valveengine with f1 style macanical injection that can do 250 bhp in 1600 form ,this engine convertion was developed by vegantune and ran by vegantune there was i am to belive a 2000cc engine developed, Thay used a ax block with strocker crank that brought the engine to 2000cc .
I am looking at produceing these engine again.
I am trying to confirm a market place and the historic scene could be a big part of the future to vegantune . The vta can run in the 750 motor club and i have been told some single seaters ran vta but confirming this is hard .so any help is are real help and welcome .

I know I'm beginning to sound very negative on both this and your 'Evante Resurrection' thread, but why bother? There are much better engines available, both for Historic purposes and modern alteratives...

You might also try contacting Miles Wilking at Fibreglass Services, Arundel. He wrote the definitive book on the Lotus Twin Cam engine (literally) and devotes half a chapter to the Vegantune VTA and other derivatives (he includes a picture of what he claims was the only 16-Valve Vegantune Lotus Twin Cam head and makes reference to the use of Vegantune Twin Cams in American Formula B and SCCA Formula C cars).

Go onto the classic clubmans website, I am sure the guy from Vegantune races a Mallock or similar, I know that some Classic Clubmans cars run their engines in them!

Vegantune has a saying we will biuld you a engine in any coulour but yellow.
