Volvo p1800 advice

Got a mate staying for a few days.
I mentioned the p1800 being a cool looking car (he'd never heard of em)
He's now decided he wants one and is seriiusly looking into it (insurance quotes the lot).
I've never owned one and now I'm a bit worried he may be dissapointed.
So other than "It's old" anyone know what these are like to live with?
