Yes its me again! my dear old 12/4 decided it was time its clutch went pop. That awful feeling having first heard a loudish clank when I depressed the clutch pedal. Then pedal go'es straight to the floor and bingo - no clutch.

RAC were great, recovered within the hour and a hour later 12/4 was in my garage, awaiting repairs.

Am I the only one here to suffer rotten luck?

Well this is true, some owners at shows tell me they only put 200 miles a year on the clock!!. I can't be doing with that, cars are to be used and enjoyed (cept when they break)tank

true, but generally they are very simple to fix, and i'd have thought a clutch for an austin 12 shouldn't be to hard to get, or that expensive compared to modern cars.

my dad found with his car it was easier to keep it on the road all year round that to have to recommision it every spring.
