Does anyone have any memories of this car? They were built in the mid 70's at Saxmundham in Suffolk. Mid engined Ford 1600 mexico. Are there any surviving cars?

Remember an article about them in C&SC a few years back, if memory serves me correctly.

Why, have you got one?

edited to add: I'd have to dig out the article, but I can't remember if there were one or two survivors in roadworthy condition, used for the article itself.

Sam

Thanks for the reply, no I don't own one, wouldn’t mind though. I never saw the article in Classic & Sports Car, would it be possible to scan the article for me?

If I can find it, sure. It will be in deep storage somewhere, though, so it may take me a while to dig it out.

Amazingly, my archive system seems to have worked first time! Next step will be to take it round to my g/f's house, 'cos I've lent her my scanner at the moment. Will do that tomorrow, if I remember.

....anyway, for the record, it's a 3 page article in Classic and Sportscar magazine, March '95 edition. They seem to suggest that there were at 3 cars built and at the time of the article (albeit 11 years ago), two of them were still in existence and roadworthy. I ran the registration number of the car in the magazine article (GDX666N) through the DVLA database, though, and came up blank, so perhaps it's no longer roadworthy.
