Does anyone know the whereabouts of the missing Panther six. About 10-12years ago it was reportedly in Cyprus locked in a container but my spies have scoured the island and come up with nothing. I have also been told stories of it being in a lock up in Surrey. Someone must know where it is?

Isn't that why it's missing... as no one knows... silly

I started a thread on Panthers a while back... some info popped up in that, so have a dig around

TM,

You are not alone, others seek the Holly Grail too!

Funnily enough I was chatting about the Panther Six with my fellow PH-er ClaphamGT3 last Friday and wondered what might have happened to it? How much would you love to track it down, that said this we managed to track down one of two DeTomaso Longchamp Spyder GTSE’s so project ‘Six’ would make a worthy challenge.

To me the Six is just one of those fantastic mythical motors you’d just love to own and given the sort of resource a win on this Fridays Euro Millions draw (£75M) would give you wouldn’t it be great to make another one?

On a similar note I was looking at how cheep Panther Solo’s are and thought for £10k or so they really ought to be a worthwhile long term investment? I’m not so sure about a De Ville though!

Lets hope something comes up!

Forgive me, what is a Panther Six? I have seen Panther cars that look like kit cars of simular design to Morgans etc.

I found this with a quick google.

Only three of these monsters were made one of which had a fibreglass body. This one is now in Canada but one of the metal bodied cars has gone missing. There have been rumours that it had recently changed hands and that it had returned to the UK for restoration.

Seem to recall reports saying they handled very well "given the skinny tyres"... quite liked the Solo 2 paperbag

Rob,

Which GTSE Spyder did you track down as Ric Lee's is for sale here in Chelsea, though I'm writing this from sunny Limassol, Cyprus.

Make sure they're real GTSE's and real factory Spyder's and not clones.
