Practical Classics is looking for a talented web/workshop writer.
Britain’s favourite classic car brand has a vacancy for a multi-talented writer and technically skilled workshop wizard to create exceptional content for its website and magazine.
This unique, action-packed role will involve updating www.practicalclassics.co.uk daily with news, event previews/reports and user-generated content, as well as helping to physically restore PC’s project cars in our very own, fully-kitted-out workshop. Some writing for Practical Classics magazine will also be required.
At least one-year’s magazine/newspaper/website journalism experience is preferred but this role DOES NOT require knowledge of html, Dreamweaver or fancy web languages.
Location: Peterborough
Closing date: November 3, 2006
SKILLS REQUIRED
Essential…
• Ability to hit daily/weekly/monthly deadlines
• As comfortable updating the website as working on a printed news story or feature
• Workshop/car restoration experience
• Decent IT skills (Mac and PC)
• Excellent writing ability
• Superb organisation
• A healthy dose of enthusiasm
An advantage…
• An encyclopaedic knowledge of classic cars
• News writing experience
• Feature writing experience
