FIAT 128 3P's last days!
Discussion
Tomorrow sees the arrival of a recovery truck to take away my uncherished FIAT 128 3P Targa!
My missus has finally got her wish and the rotting hulk that I viewed as "iconic automotive garden architecture"; but she saw somewhat differently as:- "that pile of by the sheds!" Is probably setting out on its last journey to await an ignominious fate at the hands of the scrapman! P'raps it will turn full circle and be recycled back into washing machines!!
Thought I'd share an emotional picture or two, of what may well have been the only targa conversion in the world! I suspect that the RSJs employed in its chassis conversion, almost certainly lengthened its survival on this acidic planet!
Rust in Peace!

I didn't know that ever did a targa version of the 128!
Is there nobody in the FIAT owners club that would want it? Surely free to a good home it would get snapped up?

They didn't - a garage professionally converted it about ten years ago.
It's been listed free to a good home for the last four years!
I too believed someone would at least see the value in stripping for parts - but I have given up on the numerous empty promises and fruitless postings on various websites! I wasn't interested in the hassle of dismantling.
If someone shows interest at this late stage - I'll give them the scrapmans number!

I think your probably right, however on the basis of the hassle I experienced just trying to even give it away I decided not to pursue that avenue. Plus I didn't want a "procession of pikeys" turning up at my home!
Having said that, the scrapman has already aborted collection twice before now and at time of writing he still hasn't appeared for todays early morning arrangement!

It wasn't carrying it's donor card so it was crushed!
