Yeah, and why not . . . Gives me da shakes, but if a Cuda can be hot rodded why not throw some flames on a Herald. Looks better than May's sailthingy.

Please tell me that it hasn't got the original rear suspension (It's on 4 wheels so I suspect it's not original).

Seconded...V8 with Herald swing axle rear end is a very scary thought.

A lot of UK car based 'street rods' seem to run a jag rear axles.

In the '60s someone mounted a Vitesse body onto a written off XK140 (or 150) chassis complete with engine and I believe the car still exists.

Way back when I was an apprentice (running a Scimitar GTE - ah, how times change) one of the other lads was running Vitesse with a Rover V8 and 5 speed box ........ but still with the standard back end - mind you, under the bench was a Jag IRS with LSD that we were cutting and shutting to fit inside the standard shell !!

Yes, you're right. It changed hands on ebay in the last year or two. I would have been interested by failed to get the necessary approval from SWMBO.

There are a few wild Heralds around, most are re-bodied space frames and use a shortened Ford 9 inch out of a 5.0 "Stang" or similar.
