I have some extruded aluminium trim to go around the cockpit of an Austin Healey - trouble is, it's got 50 yrs worth of scratches all over.

Can anyone recommend a good DIY metal polishing kit for an electric drill or orbital sander? (I don't have a bench lathe)

I know I could just pay someone £50 but thats cheating in my book!

There is a company called " the polishing shop" that attend most autojumbles and do a beginners polishing kit for about £15 which would be perfect for an A-H cockpit trim. It includes mandrel for drill with various grades of mop and past etc.
