Whats been the best touring car from the 1980's

For me it was the Sierra Cosworth RS500.

Others come close like the Rover SD1 but the Cossie just sneaks it.

Oh and my vote is a joint first to the E30 M3 and the RS500.

Has to be the Cossie.

Awesome watching Andy Rouse blast round Oulton Park in his prime.

Must admit the Audi used in the German touring car series was quite a good looking machine.

Well for me I guess it has to be the E30 M3 - most wins and all that.

But given my login name I would have to say that wouldn't I?

The little Toyota Corrola Gt Coupe twin cam had them all, class winners touring cars and rallying. This car seems to get very little credit for it its wins

The Holden Commodore's ran in the European TC in 1986, saw them at Donington. It was the only thing that sounded better than the three Bastos Rovers running virtually nose to tail for the entire race.
