ISO RIVOLTA LELE
Discussion
The car in question has been for sale for quite some time and does look a little bit on the pricey side on the dealers own website.
Another dealer had one for sale about this time last year (Alan Carrington iirc) which was in damn good shape and less than this one.
I can’t say I’ve ever been in a Griffo, Rivolta or any others ISO apart from the Lele but the looks are very much dependent on getting tge right angle. Get it wrong and they are hideous things but from another a handsome brute.
What I can vouch for are the mechanicals, it’s a Ford 351 Cleveland couples to a Ford 3 speed auto (in most cases) and is exactly the same as the De Tomaso and literally millions of other cars all over North America. Pretty much bomb proof in summary
Like any Italian from that era the body work is of recycled Russian mashing machine quality so a careful look at the dreaded tin worm is utterly essential and the wiring, if true to form could best be described as different!
None the less the car in question is an appealing proposition and provided she is clean enough I would recon about £12k sounds about right

Iso rivolta lele
I have recently seen this car.
Both A frames around the wind screen are rotten.
Both rear arches are fibre glass and filler.
Rot in the door sills.
Top of wings badly blistered.
Floor totally rusty also going up into the transmission tunnel.
No carpet door seals torn.
2" water in each footwell
Badly repaired corduroy patch to rea seats.
No malborough badges and the wrong rear badge for a malborough car.
I know these cars struggle to sell for 10k in mint condition.
This car is a restoration project with a new flash over coat of paint.
I estimate it to be worth some where between 3 and 5k
Mick.
