Car vs Classic Cars Magazine
Discussion
Hi All
I can get either one of these for free each month through my bank.
Are either vastly superior over the other?
I don't want to be reading about EV's and my concern with Car is that a large % of stuff they feature these days is probably EV or Hybrid?
Likewise with Classics, I don't really care much for really old stuff, but would enjoy reading about the analogue era (late 90's, early 00's, early 2010's etc).
Which will be closer to what I'm after?
Cheers

I buy both because WHSmiths do a bag for £9.99 that has both in.
Classic Cars is the one I enjoy the most. I can find I've got to the next edition's release date and barely read Car.
I'd say Classic Cars does a decent mix of what we're into. I only picked up the latest ones on Saturday. But the main feature in Classic Cars this month is Mansell's company Testarossa, for instance.

CAR is a pale imitation of its 80’s (and before) self.
I agree. Car used to be the ‘go to’ mag for enthusiasts and was erudite, witty and didn’t pull any punches. Not now. Classic is the correct decision but, like those 2 weekly classic papers, things go round in a loop because classic cars are fairly uncommon, hence many articles on Morris Minors, MGBs, etc. Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
