Rolling road carb set-up - North West
Discussion
Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for a rolling road and carb specialist mainly for classic cars located in the North West? Preferably in the Sandbach area but willing to travel for the right place. Not interested in power runs, etc more just getting the best compromise with carbs and timing.
Would require a bit of a drive for you but I used Peter Burgess (a member here) in Alfreton and he was superb in setting up the twin 40's on my Lotus TC, meticulous and patient and really understands old school carbs and how to optimise them. I've heard good things about Mikeanics in Congleton, a guy in my local club has been there and was happy with the results. I had heard they were scaling back, might be worth a call as it's so close.

They did a brilliant job on my mates 205 GTi with an Mi16 on carbs. The headline bhp figure was slightly down on what another rolling road had it at but the drivability in the mid range was on another world.
