A wonderful project for someone assuming of course it could be bought at reasonable money . Great to see the Factory Sunroof fitted instead of the period glass aftermarket one that blights so many Seventies Fords . Someone no doubt will snap this up .

I can understand why they appeal, but my money would be on this, far superior in every way; although I suspect it may need a few bob spending on it.

Yeah fair comment . They never seemed to grab the marketplace the way they should have the Z Cars of this generation . Is that fair to say ?

Sold by the boat loading the US! Great cars..not so dusty on the Rally scene either. Bit pricey here I recall, and Datsun were busy shifting 1200’s,A120’s(?) etc…who remembers them😀

I must admit I’ve never heard of the 260z, just a 240 with a bigger motor?

Love a 3 Litre GXL. One of the cars I most admired as a toddler.

There was a 240, 260 and 280z I believe.

Yeah 280 I’d heard of, looks a bit different to the 240 IIRC

Could be an ex-Ford car with that registration, as only 100 or so numbers after most of the famous Shell Sport Mexico challenge race cars which were all in the XNO 2**L registration series.

I happen to think the 240Z/260Z, is one of the most beautiful cars ever built, at the time of its release. Of course being Japanese, every journo and his dog, said it looked like a ….

While conveniently forgetting every Ford/Vauxhall product, looked like a scaled down version, of its American cousin.

Capri looks like a great project for someone .

It says it’s been stored since 1990 so when it was parked it was probably only worth £500wonder how much it will make at auction .

That Capri looks like a great project. Like so many Fords (Escort, Cortina, Focus) the MK1 always seems to be the best looking!

It's got to easily make 5 figures! I can see it doing over £12K but it will be interesting to see the result.

Then again I really like the Nissan Zs, but it was all Ford for me in the 70s and 80s.

I had my trousers taken down with a Series 1 when I was a teenager . Rotten as a pear with the lagging around the twin tanks soaking it rotted from the inside outwards . I have taken a bit of stick over the years from fellow Jaguar Enthusiasts when I advise newcomers to the marque to go for the X350 over any other XJ . Aluminium is just a lot less hassle when buying an old Jaguar

Not just a bigger engine, a longer body, not as pretty as the 240Z. I can't remember if they had rear seats.

I had my first lessons with my mum in a 100A around an Asda car park near Orgreave. Loved it smile
