I know this collection well, owned by a Canadian financier called Miles Nadal. Completely private museum, which has lots of the most exotic performance cars...Ferrari 288 GTO, Miura, Gullwing,McLaren P1 and so on. Beautiful building. Sadly photography was forbidden.

I was a co-founder of an exotic car show in downtown Toronto for charity - I called the curator and went over to see her. She agreed to lend us one car a year for the show. I walked around the collection and could not believe what he had quietly collected...73 Porsche Carrera RS?..Maserati MC 12?... endless stuff.

Now he is getting out of collecting including the world's most valuable sneaker collection ( no, I don't know either), but the
whole thing is up for auction at RM Sotheby's next month . ( I have no connection)

I believe that the proceeds are going to his charitable foundation. Very glad I had the opportunity to see it before it disappears.

I'd take the Miura SV, 275GTB/4, 365GTB/4, 250 Lusso, Carrera 2.7RS, 300SL Gullwing, 356 Carrera, Shelby GT350 and that glorious Merc 300S Cabrio.

I'll pass on the rest.

I would go for the 288GTO above all I think.

Funny how the La Ferrari has the highest estimate of all those cars. It would be in my bottom 10 of that sale list, personally. Neither classic nor new. Many more built than the 288 GTO, F50, MC12 for example. Is it really worth more than twice the rarer P1?
